If you are hiring urgently, and are looking for one of the best job websites to post a job advertisement, then look no further than 9cv9.

2. JobStreet

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

Cost: SG$189.50 for 1 job posting (October 2022)

Jobstreet is a job website by SEEK, an Australian human resource consulting company with a strong presence in South East Asia countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.

As of September 2022, they have on average a monthly traffic of 2.1 million visits, of which 67% coming from Singapore. This means around 1.4 million visits per month.

Given the population of 5 million in Singapore, that means on average, per month, (assuming 1 visit per person in the month) 28% of people in Singapore are visiting Jobstreet to view jobs for their next career move.

However, Jobstreet does not have a free option, as compared to 9cv9, so employers will need to plan the posting fees into their hiring budget.

On speaking to their accounts team, they are offering 1 branded job post advertisement on their website for SG$189.5. The price is only applicable to posting in Singapore and job location has to be in Singapore.

To proceed, one has to fill up their sales agreement form and email back to their accounts team. We find this cumbersome as most modern job portals would allow the hiring managers to register and post job almost immediately.

3. Indeed

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

Cost: Free with an option to boost the job postings (from SG$3 daily or SG$15 per month per job)

Arguably the number one job website in the world with over 564 million visits in the month of September 2022, Indeed has been the default job posting website used by almost any and every companies in the world.

Almost half of its website traffic come from the United States.

Its Singapore-focused website garnered about 2.2 million website visits in the month of September 2022 (See image below).

Of the 2.2 million website visits, those in Singapore made up around 58%, which means around 1.3 million visits from people in Singapore.

However, in Singapore, Indeed’s branding might not be as strong as that of MyCareersFuture, which is a government sponsored job portal.

Also, Indeed is a general job portal, unlike that of 9cv9, which focuses more on technical roles such as software developers, programmers and engineers.

Notwithstanding, we feel that all hiring managers should give Indeed a shot as they can post jobs for free.

If it is free, why not?

All employers can post a job for free but the quantity and quality of incoming job applications might be suppressed.

That’s why Indeed offers a paid job boosting feature.

Employers will need to add their credit card, and input their daily average advertisement fees or per month advertisement fees that they want to spend to boost the posted jobs.

For 1 job posting, the minimum daily amount needed is SG$3 and if it is on a per month basis, the minimum amount needed is SG$15 (See images below).

4. Recruit.net

Recruit.net is a global job search and HR data analytics platform.

They aggregate jobs from other job boards to add to their burgeoning job database and attract job seekers from all walks of life.

Disclosure, Recruit.net is one of 9cv9’s Job Board partners. Jobs posted on 9cv9 will be pushed to Recruit.net job listings to get maximum traffic for your open roles.

According to SimilarWeb, their global reach is around 1 million per month with most of it coming from the United States and United Kingdom.

In Singapore, their traffic is around 33,000 per month (September 2022 data).

Also, to start posting jobs on their website, you need to first fill in a sales form on the website and wait for their accounts team to get in touch with you.

5. Glassdoor

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

Cost: Same as Indeed.

What have not been said about Glassdoor that you might not have known of?

Glassdoor is widely popular as the website jobseekers go to for better understanding about the companies they are applying for. With arguably the world’s largest trove of genuine (and not-so genuine) reviews on company salaries, working culture and even on the management’s working behaviours and strategic focus, Glassdoor is a default website to visit for jobseekers whenever they are considering on the company’s job offer.

To kickstart using Glassdoor to hire, one might be surprised to know that their job posting process is merged into Indeed’s job posting process (See Indeed above).

Why?

That is because Recruit Holdings, the parent company of Indeed, acquired Glassdoor in 2018.

Thus, while remaining distinct and separate in terms of branding, the workflow of hiring from Glassdoor has been handed over to Indeed.

6. eFinancialCareers

Who it’s for: Financial type job roles or Fintech job roles

eFinancialCareers is a focused job board for the banking and finance sector in Singapore.

Most if not, all of its jobs on the job portal are on openings from banks, private equity firms, or financial institutions.

With around 74,000 monthly traffic in Singapore (September 2022), eFinancialCareers is a powerhouse in delivering good quantity and quality candidates for the finance sector.

However, we note that it is difficult for employers to start posting immediately, as there is a need to fill up a sales form on their website and waiting for their accounts team to get in touch.

7. JobsDB

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

JobsDB is arguably one of the popular job portals in Singapore.

According to SimilarWeb, they have around 200,000 traffic visits in the month of September 2022 in Singapore.

The best part is JobsDB allows companies to post for free.

What we also like is their easy-to-understand and easy-to-use interface.

After navigating to their website for Employers, you can post the job for free and the process is quite straightforward.

Then, it takes around 1-2 days (according to them) to verify the job posting and to make it active on their job listing.

8. LinkedIn

Well, LinkedIn for Hiring.

Similar to the predicament we have had with Glassdoor, we are not too sure what else to say about LinkedIn that you haven’t known already as well.

LinkedIn is perhaps, one of the biggest, and for some people, the biggest social network for professional networking in the world as of writing this article.

According to Statista, the number of LinkedIn users in Singapore is around 3.2 million as of January 2022.

(Even Singapore’s Prime Minister is on LinkedIn as well)

So, you can bet that your job postings will reach a massive audience in Singapore.

LinkedIn offers companies the ability to post 1 job for free with limits on the number of applicants received depending on the age of your account.

You can further boost your job postings, which has several benefits such as being shown more prominently at the top of the search results, having top placement in job recommendations, pushing instant mobile alerts to qualified candidates and receiving smart alerts for qualified applicants.

For the boosting feature, you can choose a minimum of around SG$7.82 per day or a total budget with a minimum spend of around SG$37.85

We feel that the 1 free job posting per account would suffice to get suitable talents.

Do note for the 1 free job posting, there is a limit to the number of applicants and once the limit is reached, LinkedIn will pause the job and remove it from its job list.

One downside to LinkedIn is perhaps it is a general job portal and therefore, you might get applicants who are not relevant to your job posting. This means more time screening and filtering on your applicant pool.

9. Monster

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

Cost: US$3,300 for 100 job postings

Monster is a global online employment solution operated and owned by Monster Worldwide, Inc.

Monster is widely used in many countries, including jobseekers and hiring companies in Singapore.

According to SimilarWeb, Monster has around 214,000 traffic visits in Singapore (September 2022).

With around 23 years since its founding, Monster has prided itself on its wealth of employment experience and job posting knowledge.

The price of posting your job openings on Monster can be steep, with the cost around US$3,300 for 100 premium job postings that are valid for 1 year.

With that hefty price package, each of the job postings on Monster does come with several benefits such as:

  • Each Job Post stays live on the Monster website for 60 days and is valid for 12 months.
  • An email alert will be sent to Job seekers, who are relevant according to the hiring company’s requirements.
  • Response Management Software: A technology that seems to enable hiring managers to work on the resume received such as, adding notes, sending mails, downloading in word doc format, forwarding resumes, and printing the resume.
  • Magic Filter Technology: The responses get filtered based on key skills, Location, Experience, Category, Function, Industry.
  • Dedicated Client Relation Officer assigned to the hiring manager’s account.
  • Screening Questionnaire: The hiring manager can screen candidates using a preset of questions that are presented to the Job seeker.
  • Post-dated Job Visibility: Job Postings stay live on the site for 60 days and valid for 1 year.

10. Singapore Freelance Zone

Who it’s for: Companies who are hiring freelancers or gig roles

Singapore Freelance Zone is a website catering towards the freelancers and gig workers in Singapore.

Most of the hiring managers using Singapore Freelance Zone are keen to hire for roles such as “Trade Event Helpers” or “Freelance Server”.

According to SimilarWeb, their web traffic is quite low, around 5,000 for the month of September. However, this could be because it is a specialised job portal for freelancers.

If that is the case, then 5,000 freelancer applicants per month might be attractive to some hiring managers to make the effort to post a job for freelancing roles.

For the pricing, they have 1 free job posting with up to 3 job applicants.

To get more job applicants to the job posting, they charge a monthly fee of SG$25 per job posting

11. Tech in Asia

Who it’s for: Startups who are hiring jobseekers who are inclined towards a startup career.

With the advert of startup and entrepreneurship in Singapore, it gives rise to Tech in Asia, arguably one of Singapore’s biggest portal focusing on tech and startup related news.

In recent years, Tech in Asia has branched out to include in its service offerings, a job portal attracting mainly jobseekers who are more startup-minded and has an entrepreneurial energy in them.

If your company is a startup, then you might want to also attract like-minded individuals to serve your cause.

Hiring a corporate background applicant might not be the right fit for your fledging startup.

The pricing to post jobs on Tech in Asia varies, with US$ 29 per job posting to US$ 129/month for unlimited job postings.

We think that if you are hiring just 1 or 2 key job roles or just starting out as a startup hiring for limited key roles, getting the “Flexible” package might be of good value.

However, if you have recently gotten equity funding, i.e., seed stage or Series A round of funding, then splurging on the “Premium” package might be useful to accelerate your talent hiring process.

Similar to Tech in Asia, e27 strives to provide startup news and information to the wider community.

The good thing about e27 job postings is that they are free.

After the hiring manager signs up, he/she simply fill up a simple form and that’s it.

The only downside is e27 jobs are not prominent and there are no branding attached to it, meaning the traffic to your job openings will be little.

Who it’s for: Startups who are hiring jobseekers who are inclined towards a startup career.

The good news?

It is free to post your job openings on Google for Jobs.

The bad news?

There is no direct way to post on Google for Jobs.

If you are interested, you will need to post on a third-party job portal with an “Applicant Tracking System” (ATS) and your jobs on that job portal will directly be posted to Google for Jobs via the XML feed method.

According to Similarweb, it has a monthly traffic of 70,000 to its website.

The interesting thing about Jobscentral is the different channels it employs to deliver more traffic to its clients’ jobs. For example, Jobscentral organises the annual Career and Education Fair and networking events.

15. Talent.com (previously Neuvoo)

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

One of the biggest job aggregators in the world, Talent.com (formerly known as Neuvoo) collects jobs from major job sites and publishes them on its website.

It also offers a diverse traffic sources and open up more avenues to get more diverse talent applications.

According to SimilarWeb, Talent.com received about 28,000 website visits in Singapore for the month of September 2022.

This is pretty low as compared to the rest of the job websites mentioned so far.

That said, in March 2022, Talent.com reportedly raised US$120 million, a Series B round of funding to expand its programmatic search platform and to introduce new products and services for users.

As such, we are confident that Talent.com web traffic and quality of applicants will only increase in the near future.

16. Glints

Who it’s for: Companies hiring interns

Glints is well known in Singapore as an internship portal when it first started out. While not too popular in Singapore, they are one of the most visited job portals in neighbouring Indonesia.

According to SimilarWeb, Glints Singapore has around 70,000 website traffic in Singapore for the month of September 2022.

The jobs posted for Singapore are usually skewed towards hiring interns on Glints.

We like that it is free but job postings on their website have to undergo a review and it might take some time before they become active.

17. Jooble

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

Jooble is a global product-based IT company which operates in 69 countries. It also aggregates jobs from major job boards and places them on its own job portal.

According to SimilarWeb, Jooble has around 126,000 monthly visits in Singapore for September 2022.

How to post jobs on Jooble?

  2. You can directly send an inquiry here to Jooble and request that they pull your job feed on your website to their job list. There are paid plans to do so starting from US$169.

18. Snaphunt

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles or jobseekers from India

Cost: Free. Premium job postings include US$ 180 for 1 job and US$ 2,000 for 1 job.

Snaphunt is purportedly an AI-driven hiring platform that helps hiring managers find, engage, screen, and hire the right talent in Singapore.

On Snaphunt, it is written that companies can get access to a huge talent pool and post jobs to over 20+ channels including job boards.

However, we find that registering on Snaphunt is not really “in a snap”.

There seems to be something wrong with their email validation tool. Ideally, we like the registering process to be a breeze.

Their pricing also seems to be on the high side, as they are charging US$180 per job posting. This pricing is pretty steep comparing to the plethora of free and relatively affordable options above.

Tip: 9cv9 charges only US$149 for 5 job postings

Also, most of their traffic are from India and around 6.17% coming from Singapore. That works out to be around 35,000 monthly traffic from Singapore in September 2022.

That said, if you are looking to hire job seekers from India to work in Singapore or to work remotely in India, then Snaphunt might be your best bet amongst the job portals listed here.

19. JobisJob

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

Cost: US$ 50 for 2 job postings for 30 days

JobisJob is a job aggregator that pulls jobs from its partner job boards and display in its job list.

Its pricing is pretty straightforward with US$ 50 for 2 job postings that will be visible for 30 days.

However, due to the lack of traffic for job seekers in Singapore, we are not sure if the pricing makes sense.

Another alternative is to post for Free by using 9cv9, as 9cv9 works with JobisJob to push your job postings to their job list.

20. STJobs

STJobs is under The Singapore Press Holdings Limited, which also operates one of Singapore’s biggest newspaper, The Straits Times.

Notwithstanding, we note that the monthly traffic to STJobs is pretty little, judging by the traffic numbers on SimilarWeb.

For September 2022, STJobs only received around 5,300 monthly visits to its job website.

Furthermore, it does not seem easy to register and post a job, evident by the lack of a registration process for Employers and Hiring Managers.

Pricing information is also not clearly shown on the website, and one has to send in a contact inquiry to inquire about the job posting and pricing.

21. GrabJobs

Who it’s for: General roles from non-technical roles to technical roles

GrabJobs was founded during 2015 in Singapore by Emmanual Crouy (Co-founder & CEO) and Mark Melo.

Originally targeting the job seekers in Singapore, they have since expanded worldwide to address employment and job finding issues in other countries.

For the pricing, they charge SG$69 per month for 1 job posting, with features including posting your job to 20+ job sites and having interview chatbots.

22. MyCareersFuture

Who it’s for: Companies hiring Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (“PR”)

MyCareersFuture is a job portal maintained by the Government of Singapore and mainly caters to companies hiring Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (“PRs”)

The good thing about MyCareersFuture is that it is free.

The only catch is you need to have a Singapore-registered company as you need a Singpass to log in and post jobs.

The other negative point (to some hiring companies) is that MyCareersFuture only allows Singaporean and PR job seekers to apply for jobs.

If your company is looking to hire foreigners or expatriates, then posting on other job websites above would be recommended.

Summary

To sum up, we went through almost 20+ job sites and websites in Singapore in this guide.

These job portals range from the general ones, in which applicants from any walks of life can apply to your life, to the specialized ones, in which applicants applying will usually fit to that job website’s niche or focused industry.

Some websites have demonstrated huge traffic, but caveat emptor, high quantity does not equate to high quality.

It is often recommended to try some of the job portals above (especially those that offer free job postings) and evaluate after 1 month or so if they do solve your company’s hiring problems and bring in the right-fit candidates for your job openings.
